AmeriShade, Inc and EDL Construction were recently selected to build twenty-nine (29) aircraft shade canopies at Edwards AFB, California.
Following previous successful cooperative efforts between AmeriShade, Inc. and EDL Construction, the two companies contracted with the United States Air Force to add a series of custom shade covers to the flightline at Edwards AFB. The shade structures, built with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) fabric, will protect the valuable avionics of the multi-million dollar planes from heat degradation and UV radiation, as well as wind and hail damage. Additionally, these shade structures protect the ground and flight crew from the sun during pre and post flight procedures and during routine mainteance.
