AmeriShade will build covered parking to protect the fleet of the National Weather Center's storm chase vehicles in Norman, OK.
The National Weather Center is operated by the Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma for NOAA. The storm chase vehicles have extremely sensitive electronic equipment that is susceptible to heat and UV damage. AmeriShade is building covered parking to protect these vehicles when not out "chasing storm data." The shade structures will be built with a waterproof PVC canopy cover. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2006.
